The members of the Otley & Yorkshire Dales branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association are actively involved with the development and promotion of the craft of dry stone walling in the Yorkshire dales. We run several courses for beginners throughout the year, and actively support our members’ development through the DSWA certification scheme.

Wharfedale Wayzgoose
Otley’s one and only mixed Border Morris side was founded in 1993 and first burst onto the public stage on May 1st 1994. Since then the side has grown in numbers and they have attended many major folk festivals throughout England, dancing with sides from all over England and the USA, Australia, Romania and France.

Otley Performance Drama School
Every Wednesday evening in term-time, and for occasional full weeks in the Summer, Otley Courthouse is taken over by aspiring singers, dancers and actors. Performance Drama School provides excellent after-school performing arts tuition for young people aged between 4 and 18 years old
Otley Folk Club
Otley Folk Club meet every Wednesday in Korks wine Bar on Bondgate, Otley.It acts as a host for local singers and musicians and for guest artists. Singing and playing usually starts around 8:30 p.m. The Folk Club works on rotation basis, alternating weekly between singers nights and booked artists
