Tell mum she rocks

He’s been using the downtime since the café has been closed to get crafty with his other love: printing. Several different designs are on offer, we love the simplicity of the Mum You Rock card. £5 each, including P&P. Contact Tony via their Facebook page to order.

Tea time treats … and more

Get mumagin

Upmarket sprits shop Rumagin is celebrating Mumagin for Mother’s Day with some great alternatives to a boring old plain flavour. Pick a distinctly Yorkshire flavour such as Cottingley Gnome Rhubarb Gin (£35 for 50cl) or go for something still Yorkshire made but with more exotic aromatics such as Jacqson Star Anise & Chilli (£24.99 for 35cl). See here to order

Say ‘pie love you’

If mum’s a fan of one of our three brilliant butchers, a pork pie embossed with the word ‘mum’ might be just up her street. The pies are available at JB Wilkinson, so pop into the Boroughgate shop or check out their Facebook page to order one. On Facebook, there’s also a Mother’s Day competition where you can win a joint of beef, pork or lamb to serve four, a medley of vegetables, breakfast for four and a special edition Mother’s Day Pork Pie. Head over there and get liking and sharing for the chance to win the prize worth £50.
