Two top-class comedians come to visit
This month we have not one but two top-class comedians coming to visit Otley. First up is legendary festival favourite and film and television star Omid Djalili who is testing out new material in his Work In Progress show at the Courthouse on Friday February 2nd.
No sooner has the laughter died down when it’s time for John Hegley to tread the boards on the same stage a week later (Friday, February 9th. The star of radio, T.V. and school assemblies, is taking to road and rail with a clutch of new verses, a few older favourites, and a cardboard camel with a moving jaw.
Terrorvision Tone hits the Courthouse
Most people know Tony Wright as the lead singer of Terrorvision but we know and love him as the owner of one of the town’s most popular cafés, Bloomfield Square. He’s appearing in his popular solo show at The Courthouse this Saturday (February 3rd) in what promises to be a brilliant gig.
Get your skates on at UpCo Arts
There’s a month-long celebration of skate culture at UpCo Arts this month and into March. Skate-Up! begins on Friday (February 2nd) and runs until March 9th. It is mostly free with exhibitions and talks, bar two paid-for events: a concert with the brilliant Serious Sam Barrett and a special screening of the film Land’s End.
The Cinderella story, but not as you know it….
Join Opera North for a fun, family-friendly magical adventure where fate and love triumph all! Led by a cast of professional opera singers and musicians guests are invited to an interactive and relaxed concert where singing and movement is encouraged. Experience the magic of opera, storytelling and music, whatever your age! The show is on Saturday February 17th at The Courthouse.
Farmers’ Market and Crafts Fair
Sunday 25th is the last Sunday of February, which means it’s both the Farmers’ Market in Market Place and the monthly Craft Fair at The Courthouse. The former starts at 9am with the crafts fair an hour later. Both end at 1pm.
