en word\, inspired by nature and the environment\, an Otley 2030 fundrai
ser. featuring live music from Mariner's Star and Lost Embers and spoken
word from Tim Boardman and Fiona Hilton. Friday 8th May\, 7pm\, Black H
orse (upstairs).\n\nMariner's Star are Matt Evens (piano and vocals)\, C
athy Crabtree (guitar and vocals)\, Carrie Davis (djembe\, drums) and Gr
aeme Matthews (bass). They play an ethereal blend of heartfelt lyrics\,
soulful harmonies and original songs. They are playing this event as a t

/profile.php?id=61558063143903\n\nThe Lost Embers started out as two fri
ends singing round a fire pit on a clear summer's night. Come and hear t
heir close harmonies and earthy sound sharing original stories of nature
and connection plus a few interpretations of well-known songs. https:/
 /www.facebook.com/thelostembers\n\nTim Boardman\, a poet from Otley\, We
st Yorkshire\, crafts lyrical\, intimate pieces that illuminate ordinary
life\, blending reflection\, memory\, and gentle storytelling into mome
nts of subtle emotional resonance. A devoted family man\, Tim balances h
is life between his roles as husband\, father\, teacher\, and poet. His
work celebrates those intersections — where care meets creativity\, an
d where everyday life becomes poetry.http://facebook.com/groups/58823564
5977509\n\nFiona Hilton's poems are an eclectic mix\, drawing on inspira
tion from her concerns for nature and local wildlife\, but also from exp
loring her responses to life and its often-humdrum issues. She is a memb
er of Otley 2030 and loves singing (and occasionally songwriting) with C
athy Crabtree in a duo “The Wild Roses”.
