SUMMARY:Children’s Music and Storytelling Workshop 2
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun packed day of music and creativity! Age 7 
 – 12\n\n10.30am – 3pm\n\nThe day will begin with lively rhythmic cla
 pping\, body beats and action songs\, before discovering a traditional t
 ale which becomes the main focus of the day!\n\nThe children will try ou
 t a range of instruments to discover the variety of sounds available and
  how these can be manipulated through beat\, rhythm and dynamics. All of
  the children will be encouraged to compose\, play and perform to tell t
 he story through song\, sounds and music.\n\nThroughout the afternoon th
 e children will explore model creation to design and make a chosen chara
 cter from the story. We will also create a ‘backdrop set’ using a va
 riety of materials.\n\nThe day concludes with a vibrant retelling of the
  story within the supportive environment of the workshop\, using the mus
 ical compositions and models. Children will be both audience members and
  performers.\n\nThe workshop is led by Abi James\, a qualified teacher a
 nd Arts Award Advisor and Kevin James\, a professional musician and musi
 c teacher. Both teach music and art extensively to children and adults i
 n the local area\, whilst also running choirs\, ukulele groups and craft
  workshops.\n\nPacked lunch required.\n\nPlease buy 1 ticket per child a
 ttending. Parents/carers do not need to stay.
