Otley Town Partnership

Otley Town Partnership (OTP) is a voluntary organisation, led by a Board of Directors, which undertakes a broad range of community based activities.

OTP works with local organisations to promote Otley for the benefit of the town.


  • OTP is a local body whose membership is open to individuals, businesses, voluntary and community groups as well as representatives of both Otley Town Coucil and Leeds City Council;
  • OTP runs Farmers’ Markets (Otley, Harrogate, and Wetherby), the Otley Victorian Fayre in December, and a Otley Food and Drink Festival in the summer;
  • OTP manages the Visit Otley and Yorkshire Farmers Market websites, and distributes information about activities happening locally;
  • OTP sponsors community-based activities such as the Science Festival at the Courthouse and recently the Tour de France in Otley;
  • OTP has two established Monthly Working Groups that include community representatives:-

Development and Environment: Its purposes are to monitor major developments within Otley; help preserve the unique historic character of Otley; and influence the provision of a high quality and safe environment.

Transport: The Transport Group assesses the traffic and transportation needs of the town. This includes all modes of transport, including pedestrians, and ranges from to highly aspirational policies to addressing short-term issues that arise.  OTLEY TOWN PARTNERSHIP – Transport Policies

We also have a Business Group that oversees the various events that provide the income source for the Partnership to operate.
