Otley Town Partnership is a community representative partnership. It’s role is to act as a strategic regeneration organisation and as a local representative body for the area. Its membership encompasses individuals from a wide range of governmental, voluntary, business and other community groups in order for it to be informed and best able to represent this diversity of interests.
The partnership’s key aim is to create a better environment for all sections of the community by involving all these sectors in "Working together for Otley"
The Partnership has three working groups - Environment, Marketing and Transport. The work and achievements of the groups is reported back to the Steering Group of the Partnership and it’s Directors.
If you live in the Otley area and would like to help us to improve the quality of life for residents and to encourage visitors to the town, Otley Town Partnership would be delighted to hear from you. | Otley Community Council |
Otley Community Council is pleased to announce that it is making available up to £1000 for Otley based Voluntary and Community Groups. In order to do this it is utilising £500 of its own funds together with a generous donation of £500 from Otley Town Partnership. Otley based Voluntary and Community Groups may apply for a maximum grant of £200 although applications for smaller amounts will be welcome. Otley Community Council will favour bids with a definite community benefit and as such there are many very worthy areas that it is not looking to support. These include:- - International, National or Regional bodies
- Basic day to day running costs
- School trips or similar events
- Individual trips for fundraising purposes or otherwise
Otley Community Council will start looking at Grant Applications in September and require all Grant Applications by 1st November 2010. Applicants are advised to submit their bid as soon as possible because there is more chance that the funds will not have been exhausted Otley Community Council would welcome bids from all sections of the community, including young people and they are happy to consider applications from new bodies.
